RED OAK/ OUT OF THE
F
IRE
This band is the combination of two.
RED OAK and OUT OF THE FIRE.
To coin an old phrase, we are a lil bit
country, and a lil bit rock n roll.
We have a lil bit for everybody.
RED OAK used to be comprised of
Steve Puett, his wife Pam, and Terry
Cogan. Two guitars and three vocals.
Steve Puett is a very accomplished
guitar player and has played with many
bands, secular and Christian. Pam is an
excellent vocalist, who also is a very
competent sound girl. Terry got his
start with them doing a solo show with
Rock Solid Revival, in which Steve was
lead guitarist and Pam was the sound
girl.
OUT OF THE FIRE previously was
called Prisoners of Grace.
Mike and Joy Stevens were members.
Joy as the primary songwriter and
lead singer, while husband Mike banged
them drums.
RED OAK's music is primarily written
by Terry Cogan and their music has
been called country folk rock, whereas
OUT OF THE FIRE's music would be
called Christian ROCK.
Combined, their various styles and
voices produce a sound for everybody.
