GOSPEL ON THE GRASS

will be holding their 11th annual popular “Gospel on the Grass” singing
and country picnic on Saturday, October 23, 2010. The old fashioned
Gospel Singing by several popular local groups will be accompanied by
free hot dogs and chips. A different gospel singing group will be
featured each half hour from 11:00 am to 3:00 P.M. The singing will
include Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, Praise and Worship, Christian Rock
and traditional Christian music. There will be face painting, historical
tours, popcorn, candy apples and children’s games. The best part is
that all activities are free! However, this year we have added a yard
sale, a craft sale and a bake sale to the list of things to do. Hours for
the sales will be 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Mike Bassett, local pastor and owner/operator of
Bassett Contracting Home Repair Services, is in
desperate need of medical treatment. A little over a
year ago, Mike was diagnosed with Hepatopulmonary
Syndrome. HPS is a rare liver disease with a high
mortality rate. Statistically, HPS patients live only 1
– 2 years after diagnosis - so timing for Mike’s
treatment is critical.

This is all the information I have at the moment on
this ride and show.
RED OAK/ OUT OF THE FIRE
will be playing along with two other bands.
